 Join the Juniata River Blueprint Community on Saturday, June 8th to celebrate the ten year anniversary of JRBC! 

The event will take place at Riverside Park in Mount Union beginning at 10:00 am.  The Community Celebration is open to everyone.  Featured will be food trucks, entertainment, vendors, and more. 

To kick off the event, JRBC will be hosting a JRBC Color Me! fundraiser.  The cost to participate is $25.  Each registration includes a free swag bag.  Exclusive t-shirts for the event may also be purchased for $10 each if registration is completed by May 18th. All ages are welcome to particpate.  Walking and jogging are also welcome! COMMUNITY CARTOON MAP AUCTION posted: December 8, 2023

The Juniata River Blueprint Community is holding five auctions on thier Juniata River Blueprint Community Facebook Page.  The winning bidder will receive an exclusive 20X30 framed print of the Community Cartoon Map. Prints of the cartoon map will not be sold in this size beyond the current auctions. The auction is LIVE and will end on Monday, December 18, 2023 with the highest bid before the clock strikes noon. Gathering of the Scarecrows posted: November 14, 2023

The "Gathering of the Scarecrows" took place during the month of October.  Community members were asked to create scarecrows and bring them to the corner of Division and Shirley Streets to place in the display area. Benches added to Linear Park posted: November 14, 2023

The Juniata River Blueprint Community is proud that we were able to purchase four benches to place along Linear Park in Mount Union. The funding used to purchase these benches was obtained through the Pennsylvania Downtown Center and authorized by USDA Rural Development through the Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge (RPIC) program. We are grateful and thankful for the Pennsylvania Downtown Center, USDA Rural Development, and the RPIC program for providing us the opportunity to purchase these benches for the community! Cartoon Map of the JRBC Region! posted: November 9, 2023

The Juniata River Blueprint Community hired professional cartoon artist Jim Hunt to design a fun, uplifting map of the JRBC Region.  The map displays historic and current locations throughout the region.  It also depicts locations of nearby attractions.  The Blueprint group will have merchandise and prints using the map availalbe for purchase in the near future.  All proceeds from those sales will be used to fund other projects within the region.  The rights to the cartoon map and all images are owned by JRBC and cannot be used or shared without consent. Click the link below to see the Daily News… Read More

2023 MOUNT UNION FALL PEPPER FEST posted: October 10, 2023

 The 2023 Mount Union Fall Pepper Fest was held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Rogers-Newman Park. The festival included several vendors, kids` activities and events, a chili competition, hot pepper eating contest, and more! The Master Gardeners of the Penn State Cooperative Extension hosted a class on extending the gardening season at the event.  Beau Lane took home BOTH trophies in the chili competition having been voted the best in the spiciest and overall catagories. MU community: The Mt. Union National Honor Society is calling on you for help. With the frigid temperatures we do not feel it is safe to proceed with “Lighting the way for the Messiah” as we have in the past. That’s where you come in! Will you come pick up three - five milk jugs from the Teen Center on the corner of Jefferson and Shirley in Mt. Union to put in front of your house so we can “share the light”?
